The problem
Sole traders find out what they owe when the bill arrives.
Nobody takes tax out of a sole trader’s pay, and GST is due every quarter. Most people guess what to keep aside, or open a spreadsheet the week their BAS is due. Numbat answers one question every time money comes in: how much of this is really yours?
Web app
Every payment, worked out as it lands.
Log invoices, expenses and car trips, and Numbat shows what to put aside, what goes on each BAS and what you take home, using the ATO’s 2026–27 rates. It’s local-first: figures stay on the device and it works offline, with an optional account to sync between devices.

Android app
The same app, in your pocket.
The Android app is built from the same code as the web app, so every improvement reaches both at once. It opens offline, and one sign-in keeps it in step with the web.
Website
A website built on Floe.
getnumbat.com runs on Floe, with blocks made for Numbat: a free tax calculator, product and pricing panels, screenshot tabs and sign-up forms. Every page can be edited in WordPress without touching code.

Ecommerce
A shop that runs itself.
Stripe checkout for one-off products and app subscriptions. Buyers get their download by email straight away, with links that expire and can be sent again. The app starts with a seven-day free trial, then a monthly or yearly plan that customers manage themselves.
Also in the range
A spreadsheet and a Notion template.
For people who’d rather keep their own files: the same calculations as a spreadsheet for Excel, Google Sheets and Numbers, and a Notion template with an invoice board and receipt uploads. Every edition is checked against the same test figures as the app.

Turnaround
Everything was designed and built side by side, so it launched together and quickly: the brand, the website, the web app, both editions and the checkout. The Android app followed straight after.
